Excellent work on this crash. Interestingly the FAA had several senior pilots and crew attempt the same approach and landing in the simulator in those conditions and only 1 in 11 were able to escape even knowing ahead of time what they faced.

I also remember flying into DFW after the crash and seeing the charred water tank for many months as a grim reminder of the toll the wind shear took.
