Good job on reporting on China’s current problems with their new carrier. Let’s not kid ourselves, China is playing the long game here as they pivot from a denial strategy to a power projection strategy via aircraft carrier.
The Gerald R Ford also suffered from significant startup issues, delaying sea trials.
I don’t believe the Chinese will back away from this power projection strategy going forward.
