Hi Chris: Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I have been in the medical field for many years and loved hearing my uncles stories at family get togethers when I was a kid (Guadalcanal, Okinawa, Phillipines) . My dad's stories about life aboard a destroyer and my father-in-laws exploits in a B-26 in Italy are some of my favorites.

I feel an obligation to retell the stories of those who are no longer with us as a tribute to their fortitude and sacrifice to keep us free.
