James:
Great piece! A thoroughly enjoyable bondesque adventure in the Soviet Sea.

During World War II, there were several intrusions by US submarines into the interior of the sea of Japan, to monitor Japanese naval and maritime activity.

Talk about being behind enemy lines. It takes a special kind of bravery to serve an omission like this.

Thanks for writing.
