Excellent piece! I would say its a 30,000 foot view of the potential changes in the world order.

Another potential beneficiary could be Japan. The USSR and Japan never formally concluded their WW2 treaties and The USSR took advantage of the Japanese at the end of the war to occupy the Kuril Islands with 3 miles of the main Japanese island.

I'm sure Japan would love to get them back (by sale or force not sure).
